what 2011 is gonna look like

Psalm 111 (New Living Translation)

1 Praise the Lord!
I will thank the Lord with all my heart
as I meet with his godly people.
2 How amazing are the deeds of the Lord!
All who delight in him should ponder them.
3 Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty.
His righteousness never fails.
4 He causes us to remember his wonderful works.
How gracious and merciful is our Lord!
5 He gives food to those who fear him;
he always remembers his covenant.
6 He has shown his great power to his people
by giving them the lands of other nations.
7 All he does is just and good,
and all his commandments are trustworthy.
8 They are forever true,
to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
9 He has paid a full ransom for his people.
He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever.
What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom.
All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.

Praise him forever!

in the valley there is Grace

2 Kings 3
9 So the king of Israel set out with the king of Judah and the king of Edom. After a roundabout march of seven days, the army had no more water for themselves or for the animals with them.
---------
16 and he said, “This is what the LORD says: I will fill this valley with pools of water. 17 For this is what the LORD says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink. 18 This is an easy thing in the eyes of the LORD; he will also deliver Moab into your hands.
---------
20 The next morning, about the time for offering the sacrifice, there it was—water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water.
_______

the 3 kings and their armies took a route through the desert of Edom enroute to fighting Moab their enemy. they were dry. walking thru Edom - walking in man's limited strength. they were walking in circles. after 7 days, they ran out of water. they found themselves in a perfect valley situation brought about by depending on their own strength. they had to seek the Lord.

when you come to the end of yourself and turn to Him, even when u find yourself in a perfect valley, the Lord says He will fill it up. with the waters of His Grace. His unmerited Favour. you may not see how it comes about, yet this valley will be filled with water. He will fill the valley with pools of water. not just for you. but because of you, everyone around you also gets to drink. He says this is an easy thing for Him!

the next morning, the waters flowed from the desert where it was dry, right into their valley. wow. the dryer the place, the more the Grace.

the rest of the passage shows how the victory was given to the Israelites. Don't focus on the circumstances, focus on the Grace that is present in your circumstances! A valley situation filled with Grace, leads to triumph over the enemy!

thoughts

The gift of perspective.
Showing ppl how to see things from God's perspective. Like Elisha and his servant in 2 Kings 6.

Vision

Proverbs 29:18a (NKJV)
Where there is no revelation(or prophetic vision), the people cast off restraint;
But happy is he who keeps the law.
____________

Vision gives us focus. See it, speak it, it will manifest.
God gives us dreams. Hold on to those God-given dreams no matter what the circumstances say. Between the promise and the palace is the process.

Give me big dreams, Lord.

Vision gives us focus. Does that even make sense?

more

2 Kings 6
16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Cause me to know the way in which I should walk

Psalm 143:8
Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You

Open my eyes to see Your unbelievable goodness.
Teach me and guide me. Show me the way to go and help me to follow it.

Every day.

Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

We are in the world but not of the world. We live as light in the darkness. We must be so rooted in our identity in Christ that we are able to live as light in the darkness, and not be infected by the darkness. We have to be like Daniel and his 3 friends, who were able to do just that. Customise without compromise, and God will be glorified.

Deuteronomy 20
1 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you. 2 When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. 3 He shall say: "Hear, O Israel, today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not be terrified or give way to panic before them. 4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory."

Proverbs 21
31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle,
but the victory belongs to the Lord.

We run towards the battle knowing that we already have the victory in You. We run towards it as David ran towards Goliath. He did not see a giant; he saw the majesty of God and ran to meet it. He knew that the Lord was with him and had already given him the victory. Just like He did with the lion and the bear. David knew the faithfulness of his God.

In every battle, there are spoils to take. upgrades.

a crown and a mantle

what a camp. my first church camp.

such a good word. its so in line with all that You're showing me.

favor puts you in the right place at the right time. wisdom makes you do the right thing at the right time.

It was on wisdom. on a hearing heart. on listening. on facing trials and counting them all as joy. on asking God for wisdom. on being perfect in my season. there was much impartation of wisdom, of honour, of the things of the Spirit. blessings overflowed. anointing. the Presence was so strong. i received. much.

Proverbs 4:9
"She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you."

-----------------------------

"Let Your love saturate this man. This is a man who truly knows that he is special to you and that he is in a special place in Your Heart. This revelation of Your love will sustain him and bring him to the place that has already been given to him."

Dreams.
Have had alot of thoughts lately. feels foggy at times, like there is no focus. what do You want me to learn this season God? showing me so many angles of Yourself. then was brought to 1 John 4 today.

1 John 4
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

there may be many revelations, but the focus has to be always on His love. the origin of love is God, in fact, God is love. How did He reveal this love? By sending His only Son to die for our sins. What greater love is there than this? No one has seen God, but if we love one another, if we do everything with the spirit of God's love, people will be able to see His love in us. In fact He says that His love will be perfected in us. not just seen in us. perfected in us.

perfected. that is a strong word. think about that..

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

what is the purpose of the perfection of love in us? that we may have the spirit of boldness and not the spirit of fear. to walk in confidence in Him. to draw near to Him. to shine forth His glory.

Love.

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

A farmer once took an egg from an eagle's nest. He took it home and placed it under one of his hens and it hatched with a little brood of chickens. The farmer raised the bird with great patience and attempted to tame him. The eagle never really seemed to fit in with the chickens. It always walked alone; it could not seem to relate to or interact with the chickens.

As the eagle grew, he realised something seemed to be wrong deep inside of him. Even though he had never known any other existence but life in the chicken yard, it just did not feel like home to him. He wanted to leave the chicken yard and take to the skies. He even tried to do so, and the farmer finally had to clip the eagle's wings to keep him from flying away.

Since the eagle could not fly, he just sat in the chicken yard looking up at the sky. One day a storm began to brew, the sky grew dark, and all the barnyard animals scurried around for cover; the chickens were terribly frightened, as chickens are prone to be. The eagle sat watching the scene in front of him, realising the storm did not frighten him in the least.

At that moment, he could not help but stretch out his wings, and as he did, he noticed that the farmer had failed to keep them clipped. Suddenly, his eye caught sight of a great eagle riding the wind above him, his wings outstretched in majestic form.

The eagle that was raised as a chicken looked again at the chickens scurrying around frantically, then returned his gaze to the eagle soaring peacefully above him, then looked back at the chickens and then up at the eagle again. He heard the eagle let out an awesome, piercing cry. In that instant, he knew he had to get out of the chicken yard! A mighty gust of wind swept beneath his outstretched wings and lifted him into the air. With a shrill scream of victory and freedom, he left the barnyard forever.

Glory

2 Corinthians 3
7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
-----
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Psalm 139
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.

Glory

Glory is the manifested presence of God.

How do we manifest the presence? By being constantly conscious of His Presence. wow.

Been wanting to post about glory for a while now, and i feel like i should try to write some of this down before i forget, especially after men's meeting on saturday, where ps talked abt this glory that we want to walk in. and today, listened to a random sermon entitled "Keys to Manifesting the Glory of His Presence". Can it be clearer? haha. there has been much revelation, shall attempt to consolidate and share some..

It all started when i told a fren i could see a special glory resting on her. what she said next was just.. whoa. she said "really? i asked God for it." she is really close to God. yes, this glory is our entitlement. Blood bought. and it comes with a constant consciousness of His Presence.

You know, we carry the presence of God wherever we go. we are able to change the atmosphere wherever we go. the more conscious we are of His presence, the more it manifests. and the more people notice you. when your heart is established by grace, and when you are conscious that it is Christ in you that is the hope of glory, a glory will come out of you that is attractive. people will ask: "what is different about this guy/gal? can't put my finger on it.. there's something special about him/her."

He promised He will never ever leave us nor forsake us. He is with us. Be intimate with Him. Be conscious of Him. Treasure His constant Presence.. that's all He wants.. He is a loving Daddy! His glory in your life will then naturally manifest.

Joseph was a man who was conscious of God's presence. His name means, "God has added" and he was conscious of that. there was no record of complaint in Joseph's life. "The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man". for whatever he did, it prospered. Potiphar could see this glory on him.

Point to note: Joseph walked in such glory that he was irresistable (remember Potiphar's wife). He had to be a good steward over the glory. =)

This is not like the fading glory on Moses' face. we have a glory that is everlasting because of the overpayment at the cross.

wow God You are everywhere i look.

im tired. too many expectations.
but its when I am weak that You are strong.

You didnt say it will be cushy.
You didnt say it will be a bed of roses.
You didnt say it will be a piece of cake.

But You said that You are with me, always. That's all i need.

Genesis 39:2
"The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man."

Lord, You put me here. its Your responsibility to equip me with what is needed.
My responsibility is to rest in You.

Thanks Daddy.
Your favour surrounds me like a shield.

1 Corinthians 2:12

Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.

"I will give you things you didn't even ask for."

heard this in the spirit some weeks ago. n shared this with a friend just recently, too.
i am quite simple, and i think i don't really ask God for many things. u know. so it was so precious that He told me this. and i keep this close. God loves us so, u know, that He will give you all the good things that you don't deserve. because Jesus paid for it all at the cross. in fact it is the overpayment that gave us all these good things.. wow.

he is blessing us all the time. all the time. you don't even have to ask for it.

Hesed. ×—ֶסֶד

Thinking of this so much.

Everyday, everywhere I look, I see Your hesed. Your lovingkindness for me.
wow God. Your hesed overwhelms me every moment. what a perfect place to be in.

because Your hesed is better than life, my lips shall praise You. - ps 63:3

I will declare Your hesed in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night - ps 92:4

From so many whoa-moments, believe that this is so clearly from God.
Just as the women has proverbs 31 as a standard to look to, the men have their own standard in proverbs 19:22. a man of hesed.

For only knowing how much the Father loves us, are we able to love others out of that overflow; and are we able to give grace to those around us, out of our heart.
For what is desired in a man is hesed. - prov 19:22

Breakthrough

2 Samuel 5
17 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, they went up in full force to search for him, but David heard about it and went down to the stronghold. 18 Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim; 19 so David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?"
The LORD answered him, "Go, for I will surely hand the Philistines over to you."

20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, "As waters break out, the LORD has broken out against my enemies before me." So that place was called Baal Perazim. 21 The Philistines abandoned their idols there, and David and his men carried them off.

22 Once more the Philistines came up and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim; 23 so David inquired of the LORD, and he answered, "Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees. 24 As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move quickly, because that will mean the LORD has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army." 25 So David did as the LORD commanded him, and he struck down the Philistines all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.

Be led by the Spirit.

Same enemy, 2 different occasions, 2 different approaches. The first time, God told David to go, for He will surely hand over the enemy. The second time, David was told to go behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees.

Reminds me again that there is no formula with God.

Seek the Lord of the Breakthrough, and He will surely give you the breakthrough.

was pondering on the love of God, and the power of God.

God is love. The heart of the Father is love.
we are in a time when we are receiving great revelation of His love. and along with that revelation of love, a revelation of His power.

believe there is a realm of His power that He wants to show us. we must know that this realm of His power is part of our rightful inheritance. our job is just to discover it.

but we must also remember that the power of God - signs, wonders, moving in the prophetic and the gifts - only serve to magnify His love. the basis must always be the heart of the Father. love. we do not run after the spiritual gifts, but only the love of God - through what Jesus did for us at the cross. these gifts are then an outcome of that revelation of the love of God.

the power of God in and of itself, without the love of God, is pointless.
For example if I prophesy, or give words of knowledge to someone, without loving him/her, there is no point in giving the word.

In that sense, there is no distinction between the love and power of God, is there?

For love is the greatest power of God.

selah.
Been really under-the-weather these few days. really tiring going to work and going to the rehearsals (have a role for My JTC Day) and stuff. not sure wats happening, but I declare that Jesus has already purchased healing for my body, and that by His stripes, I am healed and whole. wash my feet

John 13:1
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

knowing full well that His disciples would fail Him later that night, that Peter would deny Him 3 times, that His sheep would scatter, He loved them to the end. wow.

John 13:3-4
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.

Knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God - this speaks of Him knowing His Identity. What did He do? He chose to serve us. wow. Why? because He loved us. To the end.

John 13:8-10
8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part
with Me.”
9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and myhead!”
10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”

this reminds me of what a friend told me: Let Him wash your feet.
He said, if I do not wash you, you have no part with Me. Not in me.
He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet. Our salvation is complete, once we accept Him. There is no need to be bathed again. We have only need to wash our feet. Our daily walk gets dusty with the dust of the world. and He wants to daily wash our feet with the water of the Word.

John 13:5
5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

after washing, He wiped their feet with a linen towel. Linen speaks of righteousness. It always has to end with the truth that Jesus, through His finished work on the cross, has purchased the forgiveness of all our sins, and has imputed to us forever, God's righteousness.

John 13:14-15
14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

As He has done to us, so we ought to do the same for our brothers and sisters. Wash each other's feet through the sharing of the Word, encouragement in the Word. Edify one another. Remind each other of what Jesus has overpaid for us at the cross.

I thought I'd better write this down. =)

Compelled by Love

what a blessed time Friday and today at the Compelled by Love conference by Heidi Baker. What a woman of God.
Love. Rest. God's promises fulfilled. Amazing revelation. whoa!

What is it like to love?

We are called to eat the feast from the Master's table, not to scavenge the crumbs.

May it be unto me, as You have said.
