God is love. The heart of the Father is love.
we are in a time when we are receiving great revelation of His love. and along with that revelation of love, a revelation of His power.
believe there is a realm of His power that He wants to show us. we must know that this realm of His power is part of our rightful inheritance. our job is just to discover it.
but we must also remember that the power of God - signs, wonders, moving in the prophetic and the gifts - only serve to magnify His love. the basis must always be the heart of the Father. love. we do not run after the spiritual gifts, but only the love of God - through what Jesus did for us at the cross. these gifts are then an outcome of that revelation of the love of God.
the power of God in and of itself, without the love of God, is pointless.
For example if I prophesy, or give words of knowledge to someone, without loving him/her, there is no point in giving the word.
In that sense, there is no distinction between the love and power of God, is there?
For love is the greatest power of God.
selah.
i like that. For love is the greatest power of God.
ReplyDeletethat's true! Love was the reason why God sent Jesus to die for us at the cross and the greatest power of God was demonstrated when Jesus died and rose again. =)
amen, judy =)
ReplyDeleteGod's love.
wow, bro! i believe this is one of the greatest end-time revelations :) thanks!
ReplyDeletei get the sense that not only is love the way to power, but love is an end in itself! like you said, power without love is pointless!! I think He is teaching us to choose love over power.
this reminds me of something Heidi Baker said, "Love without power is an impossibility! Love IS power!"
also, this sounds like what happened to Moses, who asked God to show him His glory. Moses was expecting power. But what he got was much much greater. It was His goodness! and also with Elijah, who discerned that God was not in the wind, earthquake or fire, but recognized Him in the gentle whisper. Hmmz... teach us Lord!
I just realized you're also saying that we should not to choose love while rejecting the power that comes with love. Wow, it is "our rightful inheritance" and "our job to discover it". To show love to people in a powerful tangible way: feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, healing the sick, raising the dead. They "only serve to magnify His love."
ReplyDeleteSo good bro, so good! =D
=) bro
