The name of the band is actually meant to challenge listeners to ask, "what is my starving lion". What have I given my time and attention to that seemed harmless in the beginning but now has grown into a beast that is trying to consume me? Is it greed, anger, pride, work, a friend, a pursit?
If you ask me. This question can be asked to the entire world. Current issues like civil unrest, war, and the economy can all be pointed to someone or some groups "starving lion".
