been pondering lately.
bit foggy. clearing up soon.

humility

honor your parents.
honor your (spiritual) leaders.
honor those whom God has put in authority over you.
honor those who have obtained the breakthrough.

for in all this, you honor God. and you will be blessed.

wash my feet

John 13:1
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

knowing full well that His disciples would fail Him later that night, that Peter would deny Him 3 times, that His sheep would scatter, He loved them to the end. wow.

John 13:3-4
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.

Knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God - this speaks of Him knowing His Identity. What did He do? He chose to serve us. wow. Why? because He loved us. To the end.

John 13:8-10
8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part
with Me.”
9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and myhead!”
10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”

this reminds me of what a friend told me: Let Him wash your feet.
He said, if I do not wash you, you have no part with Me. Not in me.
He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet. Our salvation is complete, once we accept Him. There is no need to be bathed again. We have only need to wash our feet. Our daily walk gets dusty with the dust of the world. and He wants to daily wash our feet with the water of the Word.

John 13:5
5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

after washing, He wiped their feet with a linen towel. Linen speaks of righteousness. It always has to end with the truth that Jesus, through His finished work on the cross, has purchased the forgiveness of all our sins, and has imputed to us forever, God's righteousness.

John 13:14-15
14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

As He has done to us, so we ought to do the same for our brothers and sisters. Wash each other's feet through the sharing of the Word, encouragement in the Word. Edify one another. Remind each other of what Jesus has overpaid for us at the cross.

I thought I'd better write this down. =)

havent been here for months. considering blogging again.

this blog has been serving as a record for the last year or so since i stopped blogging.. but i think i missed some things in between already..

anyway this is impt, so for the record, back from a 2 week holiday. seattle, vancouver, whistler, san fran, tahoe, tokyo. Thank God for the opportunity. great time of fellowship with sw, jer, and the rest of the cal gang.

Also got to know I'm changing departments when I came back. Kinda unexpected. But God, it can only be good because You are good.

God's been revealing much.
the power of God's perspective. meditation. time of transition. season of breakthroughs.

This Easter, I remember again the ultimate sacrifice that You made on the cross 2000 years ago. You died so that I may live. You died so that there will be more than enough.

Lord show me more.

Compelled by Love

what a blessed time Friday and today at the Compelled by Love conference by Heidi Baker. What a woman of God.
Love. Rest. God's promises fulfilled. Amazing revelation. whoa!

What is it like to love?

We are called to eat the feast from the Master's table, not to scavenge the crumbs.

May it be unto me, as You have said.

Through it all

Hmm no post for 2 months. But then again, no one gets to read anyway.

The last Genrev service of 09 was pretty awesome and Spirit filled. "a heart of thanksgiving"
1 Thess 5:18. Received this word some weeks back. a confirmation. what a word.

rejoice, pray, and in everything give thanks.

Through pre-sermon worship I was thinking how nice it would be if they played my favourite song. Or maybe there was this feeling that they would play it. Something the worship band haven't played for a long time. Well they didn't play it during pre-sermon worship.

Haha. God is so wonderful. He gave us an extended time of worship after sermon (as it was the last service for 09) and guess what song He played for me at the very end. =)

whoa-moment.
